A Shared Table

with Stephanie Alexander

A Shared Table

In the seven part series from ABC TV Stephanie Alexander invites you to her "shared table", a culinary journey to seven different regions of Australia. At each location, and with help from her friend and fellow chef Elena Bonnici, she creates a delicious meal from locally sourced ingredients.

In each episode Stephanie meets with inspiring local producers or gatherers to reveal the diversity and quality of Australian produce. She shows how straightforward cooking can be - and reinforces the pleasure of the gathering, as well as the eating!

Stephanie Alexander From a beach barbeque, to a picnic with a Greek flavour, to tasting rare gingers, or shopping at the Queen Victoria Market, Stephanie covers the width and breadth of Australia to bring you the best flavours, the best stories and good company.

"I believe in the sharing of good food, conversation and laughter around a table is one of life's most satisfying and joyful pleasures" -- Stephanie Alexander.

As seen on ABC TV 'The Sounds of A Shared Table' are available on CD from ABC Music.

Reviews

"A Shared Table looks good enough to eat. And it will, as Stephanie hopes, inspire viewers to seek out some of the simple, but beautiful ingredients featured in each episode. It's a delightful series. Lets hope we don't have to wait too long for seconds."

"'Forget Tuscany' intoned Stefano de Pieri in the promo for his television series A Gondola on the Murray. His conclusion? 'Its all happening here in Australia!' Watching Stephanie Alexander's new seven-part TV series A Shared Table you couldn't fail to agree."
