Tony has worked with the commercial networks, the ABC and SBS in Australia, as well as the BBC and Nickelodeon in the UK and other European broadcasters. Tony brings extensive experience in factual, drama and children's financing and production.
Stephen joined December Films in 2003, after working for over 10 years with Beyond International. His background in high-end documentary series and adult drama makes him a perfect addition to the December team. His long experience and understanding of the international marketplace make him key to the project-financing role within the company.
Company director & lawyer Bryce is currently practicing as an Entertainment, Media, Arts, Copyright and Defamation lawyer. It is this background that adds another strand of invaluable expertise to the team. Bryce has been involved with some of Australia's best known and successful feature and documentary films as Executive Producer, Producer, Associate Producer and Legal Adviser. He is currently practicing as an Entertainment, Media, Arts, Copyright and Defamation lawyer.
George began his film and television career with the BBC in the mid ‘80s and over the next 15 years he established himself as one of the top Drama Executives in the UK. During his time in London he was Drama Production Executive for the BBC, and worked in top positions for companies such as Carlton Television, Columbia Tristar/Sony, & Granada UK.
George has been in Australia since 2001 and in that time he has been Executive in Charge of Production of Granada Media (Australia), established the award-winning production company GAP Media & co-founded the Australian based production risk management company, MRM. .
Penny has recently left Screen Australia, (formerly Film Australia) where she worked for six years as an executive producer producing a slate of material for broadcast and online. She is currently working with December Films on their development slate and is on short-term contract as development producer with ABC TV Documentaries. Penny's Film Australia executive producer credits include a range of significant specialist factual single hours and series working with some of Australia’s most distinguished producers and directors. Her program genres as executive producer have encompassed specialist factual, dramatised documentary, natural history and contemporary observation. Her programs have been critically acclaimed as well as attracting record TV audiences.
Mark has worked extensively in free to air television, radio and the corporate arena since 1978. A former Reporter and Producer/Director with ABC Television in Melbourne, Mark continues to share his expertise in the independent television market, multimedia and the corporate arenas. Trained as a Journalist, Producer and Director (both multi-camera and single camera,) Mark’s multi-faceted skills base is demonstrated through a lateral approach to creative and editorial production. More recently Mark has specialized in branded entertainment programs as Executive Producer and Series Producer on programs including Mercurio’s Menu, Holidays for Sale, Real Rangers and Guide to the Good Life. Other recent credits include that of senior Producer on the Commonwealth Games, Producer/Director of Tommy Emmanuel’s DVD distributed through ABC Music and Favored Nations internationally. Director John Foreman’s ‘Big Night In’ and producer/director/writer ‘The Devil Inside’ a documentary currently being distributed throughout the world by the United Kingdom’s Electric Sky. Combine this with the development of fully-fledged in-house television operations for major multi-national corporations Mark’s attention to budget and ability to negotiate at the highest level are imperatives. A former professional dancer and musician, Mark’s personal interests are often reflected in his passion for story telling, entertainment and creative production.
