What's So Funny?
Synopsis:
Hung Le, Australia's only Vietnamese stand-up comic, features in this documentary which looks at the lives of several comedians from migrant backgrounds.
Incorporating hilarious performances from the comedians, 'What's So Funny?' explores their drive to realise their ambition on the comedy stage, and the desire of the young migrant to be heard and accepted by an alien culture.
Their stories offer a window into the development of "ethnic" comedy, the broader migrant experience and the current state of multiculturalism.
